ASSESSMENT
See Your Body. Optimize Your Movement.
Objective 3D posture and alignment data for active Tampa adults who want to move better.
Introducing the 3D Body Scan at Tampa Performance Alliance
At Tampa Performance Alliance, we help active adults in Downtown Tampa and Channelside move better, perform stronger, and understand their bodies with real data instead of guesswork. The Styku 3D body scanneris a non-invasive device that uses infrared cameras and a rotating platform to capture millions of data points and generate an interactive 3D digital model of a person's body.

How It Works
The Scan
You stand on a small motorized turntable while holding a standard pose with your arms slightly away from your body. The platform rotates 360 degrees, and an infrared sensor maps your body's surface geometry.
Duration
The entire scanning process takes less than 60 seconds (usually around 30 to 35 seconds).
Clothing
Users must wear tight, form-fitting clothing (such as sports bras, leggings, or compression shorts) so loose fabric doesn't distort surface measurements.
Key Features and Metrics
3D Avatar: Creates a rotatable, digital 3D model that lets you visually track and overlay progress scans side-by-side over time.
Circumference Measurements: Automatically calculates dozens of precise body measurements, including your waist, hips, chest, and thighs.
Body Composition Estimates: Uses predictive software algorithms based on your surface shape and volume to estimate metrics like body fat percentage, lean muscle mass, and waist-to-hip ratios.
Safety:
Uses harmless infrared light (similar to phone cameras or household electronics) and emits no radiation, making it safe for pregnant individuals or those with pacemakers.

FAQ
Styku 3D Body Composition Scanner — Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly happens during a 3D body scan?
You stand on a rotating platform while the Styku scanner captures a precise three-dimensional image of your body's shape and posture in seconds. The result is a detailed visual model that shows alignment, symmetry, and postural deviations that are easy to see and track over time. No measurements are taken by hand, so the data is objective and repeatable.Who is this service a good fit for?
It's a strong fit for gym members and active adults who want to understand how their body is aligned and whether postural imbalances might be limiting their performance or contributing to pain. It's also well suited for people who have completed physical therapy but still experience soreness or discomfort and want a clearer picture of what's going on structurally. If you're focused on longevity, injury prevention, or simply moving better, a posture analysis gives you a meaningful starting point.Do I need to be injured or in pain to benefit from this?
Not at all — many clients come in as a proactive step to identify imbalances before they become problems. The scan gives healthy, performance-driven individuals a baseline to measure progress against as they train. That said, it can also be a helpful first step for anyone dealing with recurring tightness or pain that hasn't fully resolved. How does the scan connect to the other services at Tampa Performance Alliance?
The 3D scan and posture analysis is often a starting point that informs the broader plan. Findings may point to specific muscles that are underperforming, which can then be addressed through Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) therapy, corrective exercises, or a personalized training program. The goal is to use objective data to build a strategy that's specific to how your body actually moves, not a generic protocol.
